NWEH Launches Another Game-Changing Clinical Trial Solution for Identifying Clinical Trial Participants Using Deprivation Scores

NWEH has done it again! We are thrilled to announce a significant advancement in FARSITE’s search capability using the English Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2019 scores (IMD2019).

This new functionality ensures that research outcomes can now be applicable to a broader population, ensuring more diverse and representative cohorts, enhancing the overall impact of clinical trials.

With the incorporation of Deprivation Scores into participant recruitment strategies, this ensures that the safety and efficacy of new treatments can be accurately assessed across varied demographics, giving sponsors the ability to target participants who could benefit from the new treatment more easily.

This update aligns with both the pending guidance update from the HRA and MHRA emphasising the importance of diversity and inclusion in clinical trials, and the principles and hallmarks of what good, people- centred clinical research looks like, developed by the HRA’s People -Centred Clinical Research Group [1].

Dr. Jonathan Wogel, CEO of NWEH, commented, "We’re proud to introduce this new feature in FARSITE, which enables researchers to reach under-served populations and reflect real-world demographics in clinical trials. By integrating Deprivation Scores, we align with the latest guidance on diversity and inclusion, providing immense value to our customers, helping to enhance the validity and applicability of trial outcomes.”

NWEH continues to lead the way in developing innovative solutions that address the challenges of clinical trial recruitment, management, and delivery. The new Deprivation Score search functionality in FARSITE not only ensures that research outcomes are applicable to a broader population, but streamlines the recruitment process, with a more targeted approach, enhancing the overall impact of clinical trials.
