Written by Admin | Oct 2, 2024 12:53:14 PM

We would like to announce the resignation of the Chair of the board at NWEH, Chris Molloy, as of Monday 30th September 2024.

Chris has expressed his desire to step down after being at the helm of the Board over the last 5 years and has been a driving force for NWEH through some challenging yet successful times. Please join me in expressing our gratitude to Chris for his unwavering commitment and hard work in driving the business forward. On behalf of myself and my team we would like to wish Chris every success for the future.

Effective immediately, Barry Clare will be stepping into the position of Chair.

Barry joined NWEH as a Non-Executive Director of the NWEH Board in January 2022, following his retirement from the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) board at the end of 2021.

Barry's career includes many years on the board of the Boots Company PLC, prior to its privatisation. Barry also served as chairman at Wythenshawe Hospital and, after contributing and participating in organising the merger with Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT), he became the deputy chairman. He brings over 20 years of early-stage biotech start-up/scale experience, including significant clinical trials involvement.

Please join me in welcoming Barry to his new position, guiding NWEH into a new period of significant, accelerated growth as we embark upon exciting new public and private commercial partnerships.
