Bridging the gender gap in clinical research.

As researchers, one of our core priorities is increasingly focused on ensuring inclusivity and diversity in clinical trials, including women and those hard-to-reach populations.

Factors that contribute to different health outcomes in women are widespread, ranging from how the social norms, expectations and responsibilities placed on women can impact their access to healthcare
services and research settings, through to molecular and cellular differences between men and women.

This under-representation of women in clinical research has contributed to worse health outcomes in women across a range of areas and is highlighted here in this recent publication in PIPA written by Claire Williams our Head of Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Services.

At NWEH, we're committed to addressing these inequalities by promoting inclusivity and diversity in research. Our innovative technology supports decentralised trial models that make inclusion easy, ensuring research truly represents everyone.

Together, we can close the gender gap in clinical research and pave the way for safer, more effective healthcare for women.
